Welcome to the Tweedside Mains (Pygora, Nigoara and Fiber Goat Farm)

Goats on Farm.jpg

We are located 3 miles West of Rexburg, Idaho city limits on 10 acres and on the banks of the Teton River.

Pygora goats are a registered breed of goat that is a cross between an Angora goat and a Pygmy goat.  Nigora goats are registered goats that are a cross between Nigerian Dwarf and Angora goats.  Both breeds have long fleece coats that is just as soft, if not as soft as, lamb's wool and can be spun into yarn.

It is our goal to educate others about the Pygora and Nigora goat breeds and to learn and teach others how to prepare and process their fleece.  We are learning ourselves, so if you have the ability to teach us it would be greatly appreciated.  We sheer them once or twice a year (beginning of May & end of September).  If you want to help shear, please let me know.  We also could use help loving and petting our goats, so they continue to be used to people.  I have old farm equipment (John Deere Swather & Baler, Massey Furgeson Tractor) that frequently break and if you have the knowledge of how to fix these and are willing to help me fix them, please let me know.
